Calling All Users of Channel 69

BW Broadcast Announce Channel 38 Link Solution

You may be aware by now that Channel 69 (860 MHz) will shortly become unavailable for use for STLs and outside broadcasts in the UK. To bring into line spectrum allocation with the rest of the EU, Ofcom are moving the services to Channel 38 (600 MHz).

From 2012 any Channel 69 equipment you own will become redundant, and you will need to purchase new equipment if you wish to continue to use or offer a similar service to your customers. Ofcom are offering to fund part of the cost of replacing the equipment with new equipment capable of working on the 600 MHz band. More information on making a claim can be found on the following page of the Ofcom website.

Claims will need to be entered before the end of this year with funding payments made available from March 2011, which is less than six months away.

Solution Ready in Q1 2011 - We would like to bring to your attention the fact that BW Broadcast will have a channel 38 solution available in early 2011.

The BW Broadcast solution will be employing DSP receiver technology borrowed from our award winning RBRX1 rebroadcast receiver. Visit www.fm-receiver.com for more information.

Unlike current 860Mhz technology products available, the BW Broadcast 600Mhz receiver solution offers software controlled frequency, bandwidths and stereo options, ensuring a one-box fits all solution for various bandwidths including speech and stereo audio applications. The RF and dynamically adjustable audio ensures unprecedented performance. If that's not enough, dual DSP re-generated and filtered MPX outputs, analogue and digital IO, audio backup, Ethernet remote control and fault switching all come as standard.

Software Controlled with Unprecedented Performance - The link transmitter includes technology from our popular transmitter range but has the addition of inbuilt DSP audio processing borrowed from our DSPX range of audio processors. The transmitter is also frequency agile and can function in stereo or mono.

With pricing comparable to or even less than other products in the marketplace, you'll find investing in the latest technology an affordable and sensible decision for both you and your customers.

Ofcom are also offering to fund 55% of the replacement value of the equipment.

If you would like more information on our upcoming link transmitter solutions or indeed any of the other products in our range please do not hesitate to get in touch.
